Christmas Season can be a dangerous time!

The Christmas season is the time to enjoy the company of those precious souls that light up our lives. Perhaps the sharing of a few drinks may be in order -- but wait! -- the last thing you want to do is to drive home impaired! Now there is an incredible new service: "Last Call". This service will send two drivers, to get you and your vehicle home "safe and sound". This way you will wake up in the morning with your car parked in its usual safe place! What will they think of next?

AED for the Safety and Well-being of our Patients

Our staff and dentists spent their Saturday renewing their CPR training. It is clear that proper training and the AED Units save lives. Here at ParkPlace Dental Centre, we are dedicated to keeping our patients as safe as possible.

Morning Breath or Something More Serious?

There you are, it's Saturday morning and you have the whole day ahead of you. You roll over and look at your better half and decide to give them a good morning kiss. But wait, what's been brewing in your mouth over night?

Here's a question for you: if we floss and brush before we go to bed and settle down to sleep with a fresh mouth every night, why is it that just mere hours later, we wake up with dreaded "morning breath"?

The simple answer is that during the day, saliva works as your body's own natural mouthwash, washing away bacteria and particles that cause bad breath. While we sleep, saliva production decreases and our mouths dry out, providing the perfect environment for odour-causing bacteria.

Wholly Guacamole

Guacamole with peas, who knew they'd make a perfect pair? Why with peas? Not only do peas give this dip substance, they also add fibre, protein and vitamins. They are also green which goes nicely with avocado!

Avocados are full of healthy essential fats, extremely satisfying and make a great base for a dip. There are so many great ways to enjoy this delicious guacamole. Try it with corn chips, on sprouted bread, in a wrap or topped on a salad!

ParkPlace Junior is gearing up for the Christmas Season with their decorations for the Kids. Who knows, Rudolph may indeed appear! There have been many infrastructural improvements done at the Kid's Practice to make your dental experience better than ever. Melissa will be going off on maternity leave soon and Corina will be working with the dentists to clean your children's teeth. Of course, Dr. Omar is available for straightening your children’s teeth at the most appropriate time - to take advantage of their growth.

Dr. Omar is also available for straightening adult teeth at ParkPlace Dental Centre - across the street.

Answer: The man is missing his right ear! The cavity is more apparent than the missing ear. Strange eh?
